Digital Presence Prioritization

In 2018, I was asked, “Can you use WordPress?”

My answer was the same can-do attitude I’ve retained through my career - “let’s find out!” Now, 7+ years later, I’ve continued to develop my website-building capabilities. Optimization, improved functionality and appearance, troubleshooting, and more are all important pieces in my toolbox. From an early life of simple HTML coding on social media, I now confidently develop entire web presences that still stand today.

Electronics Websites

At Futaba, I developed two sites. The first site was an e-commerce site that served as the primary source of transactions for the hobby radio control division. This site was built entirely from the ground up - designed, copywritten, media production, and hundreds of Google searches/Reddit threads by me, figuring out how to do this. The framework and some content remain on the website, though I have not been directly linked to it since 2020. The second site was more of a product show floor for the industrial radio control division. Again, built with my own two hands (newly acquainted with WordPress), this site helped hone my web design skills and craft.

Technologies Websites

Beginning my time at Sangoma, I put my web development work off to the side to focus on marketing efforts and graphics. However, an opportunity presented itself in 2022 as I was looking to do more for the company, and they were looking to have a complete website overhaul. After a failed attempt led to a former team being let go, I worked hand-in-hand with one coworker, and we completely revamped the website within three months. At its completion, this included hundreds of pages, thousands more that were combed through during that first trial. Updating media, collateral, and more while improving the look and functionality. We launched by September of that year, pleasing product managers, executives, and other employees alike. We had provided a website that they were proud to show off.

Our success with the Sangoma primary site led to us being tasked with developing a few other sites for products and brands that Sangoma parented. PBXact Cloud was an especially fun build, as the pages were few and the colors were a fun mix of greens.

After Sangoma, I continued web designing for the communication company NUSO which needed a variety of pages added to their site. While the general appearance of the site was dated, we focused on making the new pages more visually appealing while also not standing out as too different from the rest. During my tenure, I was also tasked with creating a complete international website, laying the groundwork to simplify future countries being added, as well as a migration of the acquired company T-Metrics to WordPress.

The Outcome

Most of these websites, like any internet-based life, have seen adjustments since I was responsible for them. However, I’m confident that the care and dedication I put into the backend and behind the scenes that those sites are still built on my labors of love. I currently work with a variety of companies helping with troubleshooting, optimizing, maintaining, and making sites mobile-friendly.
